The name comes from a song I was listening to while thinking about a name for my online portfolio. After having dismissed many ideas, I chose "GuidingLight" because it characterizes an important aspect of my photography: I rather let the available light guide me than trying to control it.

Which camera and lenses do you use?
I use two DSLR cameras, Canon EOS 5DMkII and 5D, and the following lenses: Canon 70-200mm/2.8, 85mm/1.8, 50mm/1.4, and 16-35mm/2.8 II.
Which setting do you use at club concerts?
in small and dark venues I usually start with the 50mm/1.4 lens @ 1/60, f/2.8, 1000 ASA, and then adapt the settings to the situation.
When and why did you start photography?
I bought my first camera (Casio QV 3500 EX) in 2002 and took my first photos at the debut concert of the band Seabound (www.seabound.de). That's where it all began. Some concerts and many blurry pics later, I understood that I should learn about strange things like aperture, shutter speed, focal length, ...
